When a planned change makes sense
Battery is three or more summers old
Heat is the main cause of battery wear in the UAE. Many batteries here reach end of life sooner than in cooler climates.
Before a long trip
A pre-trip test — and a change if needed — is cheaper than a breakdown on the road to Oman or Abu Dhabi.

Battery age is rarely documented. A test tells you whether the battery is part of the purchase or a pending cost.

Most batteries carry a manufacture or fitting date. We read it and combine it with a condition test.

If the battery tests well, there is no need to change it yet. We tell you when to check again.

Pick a time and place: home, office or wherever the car is parked.

Like-for-like or upgraded where the vehicle allows, registered if required, and charging checked.
Worth knowing
Age alone is not the verdict
Two batteries of the same age can be in very different condition. We use age as a prompt and the test as the decision.
Summer is the stress test
Battery failures in Dubai often show up in summer, when heat has accelerated internal wear. Checking before peak heat is sensible.
Upgrades, where they make sense
Some vehicles benefit from moving from conventional to EFB, or from a higher-capacity battery within the permitted range. We advise only where it suits the vehicle.

Questions about car battery change
How long does a car battery last in Dubai?
It varies with heat exposure, driving pattern and battery type. Many batteries in the UAE last roughly two to four years, which is shorter than in cooler climates. A condition test is more reliable than age alone.
Is it worth changing a battery that still starts the car?
Only if it tests weak or you have a reason to avoid risk — a long trip, a long absence, or a car someone else depends on. A healthy battery should be left in service.
What is the difference between a battery change and a replacement?
The work is the same. "Change" here means a planned, preventive replacement; our replacement service covers the full process including cases where the car has already failed.
