Stalled with warnings
Battery and charging warnings followed by loss of power often point to a charging failure rather than only the battery.

Heading out of the city towards Al Qudra or Hatta. Share a pin — landmarks are scarce.

Make yourself safe
Hazard lights on, move off the carriageway if possible, passengers out on the safe side, away from traffic.

For any situation involving risk on a live carriageway, contact the police first.

A WhatsApp location pin, direction of travel and nearest exit or landmark.

Jump start or test first; replacement on the spot if the battery is the cause and the location is safe to work in.
Before help arrives
Not every roadside is a workplace
On a busy highway shoulder, we may move the vehicle to a safer place before working, or advise recovery.
Charging failures
If the alternator has failed, a new battery will only last a short distance. We test before suggesting replacement.
Heat
In summer, waiting in a car without air-conditioning is dangerous. Seek shade and stay hydrated.

Will you replace the battery on a highway shoulder?
Only if it is safe. Otherwise the vehicle is moved to a safe spot first or recovery is advised.
What if it is not a battery problem?
We will tell you what the tests suggest and help you decide whether to arrange recovery to a workshop.
