About Shakhbout City
Shakhbout City is the former Khalifa City B, renamed after Sheikh Shakhbout bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and is a residential suburb on the Abu Dhabi mainland.
It is known for spacious villas, from two bedrooms to very large family homes, with some low-rise apartment buildings.
It lies north-east of Mohammed Bin Zayed City, with Zayed City, Baniyas and Al Shawamekh as neighbours and Khalifa City a short drive away.
Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, formerly known as Al Mafraq Hospital, serves the area.
What wears batteries here
Large villa households here often have several cars, some used only occasionally and parked uncovered in the inland heat. Those cars are the ones most likely to have flat batteries.

Practical notes for Shakhbout City
- Older paperwork and some maps still say Khalifa City B. Either name is fine, but send your Onwani address or a live pin.
- Villa compounds are walled with solid gates, so let us know whether the car is inside and who can open the gate.
- Some newer parts are still under construction, and streets may not show correctly on navigation apps.
- If the car is at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, give the car park and nearest entrance, as the hospital campus is large.
