About Ras Al Khor
Ras Al Khor is the head of Dubai Creek, and much of it is the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, a wetland declared a protected area in 1998 and a Ramsar site in 2007.
The sanctuary has three public birdwatching hides on its perimeter, including the Flamingo Hide, with free entry.
The area is crossed by Ras Al Khor Road and sits between Dubai Creek Harbour, Nad Al Hamar, Dubai Festival City and the Ras Al Khor Industrial Area.
