About Madinat Zayed
Madinat Zayed is a central district of downtown Abu Dhabi Island lying between Al Falah Street and Electra Street, made up mostly of mid-rise apartment buildings with shops, bakeries, tailors and salons at street level.
It is known for the Madinat Zayed Shopping Centre and Gold Centre, a large traditional-style retail complex with gold, jewellery and textile shops.
It should not be confused with Madinat Zayed (also called Bida Zayed), the main town of the Al Dhafra region about 180 kilometres south-west of the capital.
