About Dubai Islands
Dubai Islands is a group of reclaimed islands off the Deira coast developed by Nakheel, first launched as Palm Deira in 2004, scaled down as Deira Islands in 2013 and renamed Dubai Islands in 2022.
Development is still in progress; beach hotels such as Hotel RIU Dubai, Centara Mirage Beach Resort and Park Regis by Prince are operating, alongside the Souk Al Marfa waterfront market, with residential projects under construction.
The islands are linked to Al Khaleej Road and Abu Baker Al Siddique Road by bridges that opened from 2016 onwards as part of the Al Shindagha Corridor project.
