About Al Awir
Al Awir (also spelled Al Aweer) is a town in the Emirate of Dubai about 35 km from the city centre, with a population of about 8,500 in 2022 across roughly 95 square kilometres.
It has long been a centre of farming and camel breeding, many Dubai families own farms there, and much of the housing is large villas.
It lies on the city's eastern edge beside Emirates Road (E611), with the Dubai–Hatta Road (E44) running through it towards Lahbab.
